Lee Sinnott recorded his first win as Port Vale boss as the Valients hit back from behind against Gillingham. The Gills struck first on 32 minutes as a fine pass from Adam Miller found Chris Dickson, who fired in with style.
But the visitors levelled immediately as Marc Laird's cross found Calum Willock and he was on hand to stab in.
Vale then stunned the home fans a minute before the interval when David McGoldrick's low cross was turned into his own net by the helpless Simon King.
