Substitute Mark De Vries scored with a minute remaining to seal victory for Leeds over Yeovil. The on-loan striker rose at the far post to head home Jonathan Douglas' cross as Leeds moved up to 12th.
Yeovil were the better side in the first half and Leeds keeper Casper Ankergren made excellent saves to deny Anthony Barry and Paul Warne.
Leeds had a second-half penalty claim for handball turned down before De Vries snatched victory.
