Luke Beckett grabbed Huddersfield's winner for the second successive week to see off battling Bournemouth. Beckett rose unmarked just before the break to head home after Matt Young picked him out with a free-kick.
Huddersfield withstood a barrage of Bournemouth pressure although the hosts never really looked like breaching them until the last five minutes.
And home keeper Asmir Begovic denied Huddersfield more goals by saving from Jon Worthington and Malvin Kamara.
