Tranmere teenager Craig Curran scored a first half hat-trick to give his side victory over relegated Brentford. The 17-year-old struck twice in the first seven minutes - with a right-foot shot on the turn and a left-foot effort which deflected off a Bees defender.
Calum Willock headed home Brentford's reply from a corner but Curran quickly completed his treble with a volley.
Substitute Alex Rhodes had two second half efforts for the Bees, who finished the season bottom of the table.
