Rotherham finally moved off the bottom of League One after a hard-fought victory over high-flying Blackpool. Chris O'Grady got the game's only goal when he turned the ball home from close range after good work by Delroy Facey.
With both teams using direct tactics the game proved uninspiring, though Scott Vernon's 20-yard volley deserved more than to fly over the hosts' bar.
Ian Henderson should have made it safe for the hosts when he raced clear late on only for Paul Rachubka to save well.
