The Cherries were mainly on top and Yeovil keeper Steve Mildenhall made fine saves to deny James Hayter, Brett Pitman and Marc Wilson.
Ex-Bournemouth loanee Leon Best scored Yeovil's second with a fine volley from a Nathan Jones cross.
