A goal in each half saw Swansea ease back into the top six after dominating the game against Gillingham. Bayo Akinfenwa headed in Lee Trundle's cross on six minutes to open the scoring but despite being the better side they had to wait for the second.
On-loan goalkeeper Romain Larrieu kept Gillingham in it while Mark Bentley and Gary Mulligan both went close to equalising with headers.
But Akinfewa set up substitute Andy Robinson late on to seal the points.
