Doncaster won the first game in their new �32m Keepmoat Stadium after a thrilling contest with Huddersfield. Mark McCammon had the honour of scoring the first goal with a volley, before Paul Heffernan latched on to Jonathan Forte's fine pass to make it 2-0.
Forte got himself on the scoresheet soon after following another fine move.
Huddersfield had Adnan Ahmed dismissed for a bad tackle and Pawel Abbott was sent off in the ensuing melee. Rovers' Gareth Roberts was sent off late on.
