Trundle scored the first and created the second |
Swansea striker Lee Trundle scored one and created another inside the final two minutes to shatter Port Vale. There was little to choose between the sides in a dour encounter.
But Trundle ignited on 88 minutes, playing the advantage after a foul on Tom Butler, leaving Richard Walker in his wake, and driving in a left-footer.
Two minutes later Trundle, idling on the wing, produced two outrageous cut backs before finding Butler, who got his first Swans goal from six yards.
Swansea had not won at Port Vale for 49 years and had lost on each of their last eight visits.
