O'Leary's superb strike was his first of the season |
A stunning volley from Kris O'Leary moved Swansea back into the play-off spots and hit Oldham's fading hopes. Both sides lacked ambition in a nervous first half, but in the 60th minute a rash Tom Williams foul on Paul Warne resulted in a Luke Beckett penalty.
A poor clearance from Lee Grant then fell to O'Leary who nailed his 35-yard effort, his first goal of the season.
Oldham dominated the last 20, David Eyres and Beckett hitting the woodwork, Kevin McLeod going close for Swansea.
