Rotherham and Southend have been in dispute over Campbell-Ryce |
A Football League tribunal is set to rule on Rotherham's dispute with Southend over the transfer of winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce. The 22-year-old moved to Southend on a three-month loan in September.
However, Rotherham have claimed that there was an agreement between the clubs to make the move permanent for 100,000, but no money changed hands.
The Shrimpers have now agreed that the tribunal, which began in February, has jurisdiction to decide the matter.
"This is a breakthrough for us," Rotherham chairman Peter Ruchniewicz told his club's website.
"The way is now clear for a full hearing into the transfer."
A ruling is expected in about a fortnight.
