Sheff Wed 0-1 Bournemouth
Chris Turner
Sheffield Wednesday sacked manager Chris Turner after a John Spicer goal condemned the home side to defeat.

The Owls' Steve MacLean shot wide early on and also hit the woodwork, while Cherries keeper Neil Moss kept out Lee Peacock and Jon-Paul McGovern's shots.

But the visitors went ahead before the break when Dani Rodrigues fed Spicer, who slotted into the bottom corner.

As Wednesday pushed for an equaliser, Paul Smith headed wide, and then was denied by Moss as the Cherries held on.
