Claus Jorgensen crossed for Stephen Purches to score, and Warren Cummings netted before Wrexham's Stephen Roberts was sent off for a professional foul.
Warren Feeney got the third and Hayter headed home the fourth from Brian Stock's right-wing cross.
Hayter scored again on 88 minutes and pounced to complete his treble after Cummings' 40-yard punt upfield.
