Nicky Maynard's impressive goalscoring run since his return from a serious knee injury continued as Bristol City romped to victory over Coventry.
He netted his third goal in three starts when he got on the end of David Clarkson's pass.
Clarkson set up Lewin Nytanga for 2-0 before bagging himself a penalty.
Lukas Jutkiewicz pulled a goal back early in the second half but Marlon King's dismissal rocked Coventry, and Marvin Elliott rounded off the victory.
The result was the Robins' third win in a row, taking them 10 points clear of the drop zone, while Coventry have won just one of their last 14 league matches and have slipped to 19th in the table.
Coventry began brightly so it was against the run of play when Maynard shot home from 12 yards to open the scoring.
Having set up the first goal, Clarkson also provided the second, swinging in a free-kick for Nyatanga to touch home.
Weak shots from Jutkiewicz and Aron Gunnarsson were all Coventry could manage in the first half, and the visitors extended their lead before the break.
Nathan Cameron brought down Albert Adomah and previous goal provider Clarkson turned goalscorer from the resulting penalty.
Early in the second half Jutkiewicz scored for the first time in 17 games with a close-range finish from Richard Keogh's knock-back, but King's dismissal for violent conduct halted Coventry's comeback hopes.
Elliott completed the scoring with eight minutes left when he knocked home Adomah's right-wing cross from 12 yards out.
