Matty Fryatt scored a hat-trick and Aaron Mclean a brace as Hull thrashed relegation-threatened Scunthorpe.
Fryatt opened the scoring with a low drive before Mclean struck from six yards after the break.
Joe Garner headed home a Mark Duffy free-kick for the Iron before Fryatt struck from the penalty spot after Bobby Grant fouled Andy Dawson.
Mclean grabbed his second from 12 yards and Fryatt converted Tijani Belaid's corner to complete his hat-trick.
The result leaves Scunthorpe seven points adrift of safety in the Championship table and without a win in their last 11 home fixtures in the league.
Hull, six points shy of the play-off zone, have lost only one of the 15 games since a 1-0 home defeat against the Iron in November.
Fryatt has now scored six goals in seven appearances since leaving Leicester for Yorkshire and looked full of confidence against Scunthorpe.
His opening goal came after Robert Koren picked him out inside the penalty area.
Duffy forced a save from Tigers keeper Brad Guzan with a crisp volley just after the half-hour mark before Mclean extended Hull's lead after an error from Michael Nelson.
Koren and Mclean both shot wide after Garner's goal for Scunthorpe.
But Fryatt's 73rd-minute spot-kick made the result safe, substitute Nicky Barmby teed up Mclean for his second and Fryatt completed the scoring shortly before the final whistle.
