Leicester produced a solid display to win away at Doncaster and move back up to fifth in the Championship.
The only goal of the game came in the 12th minute when Martyn Waghorn chased a long ball, shrugged off a challenge from Gareth Roberts and fired home.
Jordon Mutch and Billy Sharp dragged shots wide for the hosts, before Chris Weale saved well from James Coppinger and then Roberts' shot from distance.
Neil Sullivan brilliantly saved from Waghorn as Leicester held on to win.
Doncaster assistant boss Richard O'Kelly: "I thought the effort we put in there was excellent and we probably dominated possession.
"Our passing and moving was good. I definitely feel we should have got something out of the game.
"Bruno Berner's foul on Billy Sharp was intelligent defending. If we'd done that we might not have been 1-0 down."
Leicester boss Nigel Pearson on automatic promotion: "I don't rule anything out.
"First and foremost we have to stay in the play-offs, and then it's whether we find a significant run of form.
"The three teams at the top are ahead by quite a margin. Having said that, history would say there's always a side that comes out of the pack."
