Cardiff City closed the gap on the top two in the Championship table with a comfortable win over Coventry City.
Anthony Gerrard's first Bluebirds goal gave the hosts a perfect start as the defender rose to head in a fifth-minute cross from midfielder Stephen McPhail.
Midfielder Peter Whittingham stepped up to convert a penalty early in the second half after Jay Bothroyd had been brought down by Stephen Wright.
Michael Chopra came close to a Cardiff third but his neat shot hit the post.
Cardiff City manager Dave Jones: "We limited them [in the second half] to basically no shots, Dave [Cardiff goalkeeper Marshall] has not had a great deal to do.

"We've just got to maintain our form and at the moment everybody's working really hard to try and keep that.
"It was a solid, no-nonsense, keep the percentages right performance from us."
Coventry City manager Chris Coleman: "We are making defensive errors and it has cost us tonight.
"It seems like we have to score two or three goals to win a game but we are not doing that and we have only kept two clean sheets.
"We have a lot of players injured and it is all going against us but we are adding to our problems by making mistakes."
