QPR 0-0 Plymouth

Plymouth clinched an important point against QPR that has left them in the driving seat for Championship survival.

Argyle had the better chances, with Paul Gallagher firing over from just inside the area early on.

Karl Duguid had an even better chance, his close-range shot at full stretch flying over the bar, and Ashley Barnes missed the target from six yards.

Matthew Connolly almost won it for QPR late on, but his effort from outside the box whistled wide of the post.

QPR caretaker coach Gareth Ainsworth:
"Defensively we have been rock solid but it would have been nice to score more goals this season.

"It's something we maybe need to look at for next season, although not simply in terms of personnel. The players we have here are capable of better.

"The real positive for us was Patrick Agyemang returning. It was a good workout and I think he did well."

Plymouth boss Paul Sturrock on Monday's Norwich-Reading match - after which Argyle will be safe if Norwich fail to win:
" I won't watch the game.

"I'll be cutting the grass or playing on the golf course - anything to keep away from the radio or a way of hearing the score.

"I'd love to have charged over the line. It looks like we'll whimper over it, but it's in our own hands."
