Keogh had only scored four goals this season before his double against Derby
Andy Keogh's scored a goal in each half as Wolves moved six points clear at the top of the Championship.
Keogh smashed in a wonderful first-time shot from 20 yards to put the visitors ahead but Przemyslaw Kazmierczak made it 1-1 with a superb 25-yard free-kick.
Mile Sterjovski's cool side-foot finish put the Rams 2-1 up in the second half but Matthew Jarvis levelled from close range after great work by Kyel Reid.
And Keogh's diving header from Marlon Harewood's cross secured the points.
Derby manager Nigel Clough: "Some of the things that we did in the second half were either very good or very bad, and the bad things cost us the goals.
"We didn't do enough with our chances and we certainly didn't do enough in our penalty area, hence the 3-2 scoreline.
"We are just limping to the end of the season trying to get that win or draw or anything that might make us safe."
Wolves manager Mick McCarthy: "We were hopeless. We were awful. We were rubbish.
"We couldn't play any worse and we won the game. We were bobbins, except for Andy Keogh and Matt Jarvis and the front lads.
"But we kept going and winning games is not always about playing free-flowing football. There are lots of ways to win games and sometimes you have to do it ugly, and that's what we have done."
