Doncaster celebrate the opening goal by Gareth Roberts (not in picture)
Doncaster ended a four-match losing run with a win over Ipswich that all but ensures their Championship survival.
Gareth Roberts put them in front early on when he caught goalkeeper Richard Wright out of position and netted from long range before Owen Garvan levelled.
The scores remained level until 16 minutes from time, when Paul Heffernan poked home at the second attempt after his initial header was blocked.
With five minutes to go Lewis Guy set up James Hayter for the clinching goal.
Ipswich manager Jim Magilton:
"I feel let down because we downed tools. We capitulated. Doncaster showed more desire.
"We were at home but some of the players felt sorry for themselves. I am not going to offer any excuses because it was poor.
"I wasn't surprised by the crowd reaction. I expected it and probably deserved it."
Doncaster boss Sean O'Driscoll:
"What's safe? We haven't looked at the table all season and we're not about to start now.
"All we have tried to do is maintain a level of performance and that's not going to change.
"Every point is precious in this division so to get three away from home was a very good result."
