Promotion hopefuls Reading twice came back from a goal down at relegation-battling Plymouth to earn a draw.
The home side went ahead when Paul Gallagher volleyed past Adam Federici from six yards after Ashley Barnes had nodded down a long free-kick.
Marek Matejovsky then swung in a cross for Alex Pearce to head in and level.
But Jamie Mackie ended an excellent run with a superb long-range strike before Shane Long's header set up Jimmy Kebe to slot in and score a late equaliser.
Plymouth manager Paul Sturrock: "If you had said that we would be four unbeaten after playing three of the top sides then I would have taken it.
"Now the work starts again in building on it with two away games in the next week, at Swansea and then Norwich.
"We are not out of the mire yet but we are certainly better off than we were a few weeks ago."
Reading boss Steve Coppell: "At 2-1 down, I was thinking this might be one of those games where you are playing a strong part but end up getting nothing.
"But we got back to 2-2 and there was only going to be one winner. We were on the front foot and we were forceful.
"In a way I am pleased with the point but I am little disappointed we didn't edge our way to all three points."
