Blackpool 2-0 Norwich

Goals from Brett Ormerod and Charlie Adam gave Blackpool a vital win over fellow Championship strugglers Norwich.

Gary Doherty and Jason Shackell failed to make the most of close-range headers for the visitors in the first-half.

And Jonathan Grounds forced a fine save from home keeper Paul Rachubka before Ormerod scored fortuitously when the wind blew his high cross into the net.

Blackpool striker DJ Campbell fired against a post before Adam chipped home a second goal to make sure of victory.

Blackpool caretaker manager Tony Parkes:
"We needed that win and it's the first time for a long time that we have played such good football.

"With them being just below us it was always going to be a difficult game but we went out with a positive attitude.

"Once we had scored the first goal we were well on top and they really didn't create very much at all."

Norwich boss Bryan Gunn:
"We had a couple of chances in the first half where I thought our extra height would give us an advantage particularly at the set-pieces.

"I didn't read the riot act at half-time because I thought a win was still there for the taking but we seemed to lose our spark.

"I don't know if their first goal was a cross or a shot but it did knock us back. I tried to make changes but things didn't work out."
