Ipswich 1-1 Blackpool

Ipswich dominated this Championship clash against Blackpool but had to settle for a point at Portman Road.

The visitors took the lead when Alex Baptiste went on a fine run and buried the ball from 12 yards after playing a cute one-two with David Fox.

Ipswich soon bounced back with Tommy Miller charging into the box and smashing the ball into the corner.

Jon Stead fired a drive over late on when clean through and Argentine winger Luciano Civelli shot agonisingly close.

Ipswich boss Jim Magilton:
"I'm a realist and always honest and it's going to take a huge effort to make the play-offs.

"For large parts of the game we were comfortable, although it took us going a goal behind to really get going.

"The second half was a little bit better. We huffed and puffed and needed to show our hunger and desire, but we were very disappointed not to win."

Blackpool caretaker boss Tony Parkes:
"We're very pleased with the point. We defended really well, showed our togetherness and deserved it.

"In the first half we broke a few times and would have liked to score more than just once.

"To get a point here was a good achievement and now we're one point further away from the bottom three, which is the name of the game for us."
