Sheffield Wednesday and Bristol City played out an uninspiring draw at Hillsborough in the Championship.
Leon Clarke had the best first-half chance, but after he was put through Adriano Basso pulled off a smart save.
Gavin Williams forced Lee Grant to save but City struggled to create chances and Marvin Elliott blasted a shot over.
Nicky Maynard fired wide after the break before Clarke missed the target and Marcus Tudgay twice headed wide late on for the Owls.
Bristol City manager Gary Johnson:
"I might be pleased with the point on Sunday, but at the moment I'm not. I felt we had enough decent chances and I'm still fuming about the one that wasn't."
"Both teams needed the win and, on the day, I thought we created quite a few chances. It was just that bit of quality finishing that both sides needed."
"I'm practising emotional control at the moment because I'm a bit disappointed with a few of the decisions that didn't go for us."
Sheffield Wednesday boss Brian Laws:
"Both teams had opportunities, there's no doubt about that. I think Gary will be disappointed they didn't take their chances and we're disappointed we haven't taken ours."
"Looking at our injury list of nine first-team players, I think that's a credit to the lads that have gone out there."
"If someone had asked me at the start of the week if you'd be happy with four points from our last two games and two clean sheets - then they're real positives."
