A late goal from substitute Steven MacLean negated Heidar Helguson's first-half opener to earn Plymouth a deserved draw against QPR at Home Park.
Against the run of play, QPR took the lead when Martin Rowlands found Helguson who struck into the corner.
Jamie Mackie missed a great chance to equalise when he lifted the ball high into the stands from 12 yards.
Fallon then headed across the penalty area to tee up MacLean, who rifled the ball home from six yards.
Plymouth manager Paul Sturrock: "I believe you have to go for it at 1-0 down.
"At that late stage it does not matter whether you lose by one or two if the chance is that you may get a goal back, and that's precisely what we did.
"The only real disappointment for me is only taking one point from the last two games - we could have come away with six."
QPR coach Paulo Sousa: "Helguson took his goal well and he will grow in confidence with that goal.
"That is the main thing for me - the players and the team grow in confidence and show consistency because in this league you have to be consistent.
"With consistency comes confidence and I thought we looked more confident today."
