Bodde strike fires Swans comeback

Jason Scotland celebrates
Jason Scotland celebrates his 59th-minute goal against Watford

Swansea City got back to winning ways as they saw off struggling Watford at Liberty Stadium in the Championship.

Lee Williamson put the visitors ahead after 33 minutes, but Ferrie Bodde struck back immediately with a trademark long-distance strike.

Jason Scotland's flick past keeper Richard Lee slowly made its way over the line and Guillem Bauza hit home four minutes into injury time.

Watford have not tasted triumph since winning at Southampton six games ago.

Swansea boss Roberto Martinez told BBC Sport Wales:

Cannot play media. Sorry, this media is not available in your territory.

"I think it was a very good result but I am far more interested in the performance.

"Watford are a very experienced side but we controlled the tempo and the way the game was played.

"We need to be ready for Tuesday night when Watford are back here in the Carling Cup because they have quality in their side and we will be up against a strong team."

Watford caretaker boss Malky MacKay told BBC Three Counties Radio:

"I thought the players showed an immense amount of energy and effort.

"I gave them the freedom to go and express themselves in the opposition half.

"It was a good goal we scored but within a minute we've conceded a 40-yard strike.

"Until the second goal went in it was a fairly even game."
