Blackpool 0-1 Ipswich

Ipswich extended their unbeaten run to six Championship games courtesy of David Norris' first-half strike.

The visitors went close to scoring when Kevin Lisbie headed over the bar.

But Ipswich took the lead when Richard Naylor's header was cleared but Norris follows up by drilling in a low shot from 12 yards.

Blackpool failed to hit the target when Ben Burgess fired wide from 18 yards as the visitors remained largely untroubled in defence.

Blackpool boss Simon Grayson:
"That was possibly our worst performance of the season. Most of the team fell below the standards they have set for themselves this season.

"However I cannot be too critical. We have had a good run and you cannot win every game in the Championship. I think we are big enough to accept this defeat.

"We had a couple of chances but in the second half we huffed and puffed without displaying any real quality."

Ipswich manager Jim Magilton:
"This is a difficult place to come but I think we did well.

"We kept our passing game together and proved very resilient. The confidence is building in this side which is now in the process of really coming together.

"There are improvements in every match we play."
