Swansea's Darren Pratley started the goal fest early at the Liberty Stadium
Swansea City extended their unbeaten home record this term with an easy victory over Championship strugglers Southampton at the Liberty Stadium.
Midfielder Darren Pratley slotted home his first goal of the season from 12 yards in the 12th minute as he finished Tom Butler's left-wing cross well.
Jordi Gomez then pounced to score his fourth in five games after Bodde's free-kick was parried by Kelvin Davis.
Butler completed the rout with a right-foot shot from the edge of the box.
Swansea City manager Roberto Martinez said:
"It was one of those days that in every single department you can get many positives.
"To be able to control play that way and perform with the intensity that we did is pleasing but I think Southampton were the best footballing side we've had here this season.
"We are looking at that performance and it seems that we are slowly getting into this division.
"It was bad news for us that Marcos Painter was stretchered off in the second-half with a knee injury but we are talking about weeks out rather than months."
Southampton manager Jan Poortvliet said:
"We are disappointed to have lost 3-0 but we were never dangerous.
"We didn't have enough power to create anything and their win was deserved because they did more to win the game.
"We need to turn the boys into men and that is all about confidence."
