Bristol City 1-1 QPR

Ten-man QPR produced a fine second-half defensive display to secure a hard-earned draw against Bristol City.

Dexter Blackstock gave the visitors the lead when he collected a long pass before rounding keeper Adriano Basso.

City levelled when Brian Wilson whipped in the ball and Dele Adebola evaded the defence to finish from close range.

QPR's Emmanuel Ledesma was sent off for a second booking seven minutes into the second half but the London side held on for a point.

Bristol City manager Gary Johnson:
"I would have preferred it if Rangers had kept 11 players on the field.

"After the sending-off they got nine men behind the ball and closed all the gaps.

"We had one great chance when Dele Adebola's header brought a fantastic save, but we probably didn't create enough decent opportunities."

QPR manager Iain Dowie on Emmanuel Ledesma's sending off:
"Their player deliberately jumped out of the way of the ball to make it look worse than it was.

"After that Emmanuel showed his inexperience with a silly tackle to get himself sent off.

"I thought our defending from then on was outstanding. We know we have quality players, but you also need resilience in the Championship."
