Norwich 3-0 QPR

Norwich ensured they will be playing Championship football next season after a comprehensive win against QPR, who had Damion Stewart sent off.

Stewart was shown a straight red card for a foul on Ched Evans on only four minutes and Evans put Norwich ahead soon after with a fierce volley.

Ryan Bertrand hit the post before a deflected Mark Fotheringham effort doubled the Canaries' lead.

Darel Russell sealed the win when he chipped in after a defensive mix-up.

  • Norwich boss Glenn Roeder:
"This is a brilliant day for everyone connected with the club.

"When I came here we looked dead and buried. You tell me any other club that has only got eight points in November and ends up avoiding relegation.

"Considering all the circumstances I would say this is my best moment."

  • QPR boss Luigi de Canio:
"I didn't think Damion deserved to go.

"It was very hard because we're already without three important players and we lost another two when we had to reorganise because of the red card.

"Any team would struggle in that sort of situation."
