An early Jay Tabb goal gave manager Chris Coleman his second win in charge of Coventry against nine-man Norwich. Tabb netted the only goal when he collected Michael Doyle's 40-yard pass and fired low past David Marshall.
Marshall then denied both Leon Best and Daniel Fox, while Kevin Thornton hit the post as Coventry dominated.
Any hopes of a Norwich comeback were dashed when first Gary Doherty and then Darel Russell were sent off for two bookable offences.
Coventry manager Chris Coleman:
"I don't think anyone would have complained had we gone on to get three or four.
"Tabby is a little diamond, and I cannot tell you how impressed I have been with him since I arrived here.
"That's back-to-back results for us now, and that is not something we have done very often this season."
Norwich manager Glenn Roeder on referee Paul Taylor:
"Some referees, this one in particular, are too quick to reach for their cards and don't show common sense.
"I don't think that was a performance he should be proud of, but knowing Paul Taylor he probably will be.
"But my players need to show me they want a future at this club - starting with game against Stoke on Tuesday."
