Wolves created plenty of chances but had to settle for a single point after being frustrated by Blackpool. The visitors started well and Kevin Kyle had his shot saved by Paul Rachubka, while Matt Jarvis and Andy Keogh also went close.
Paul Dickov and Gary Taylor-Fletcher did threaten for Blackpool but Wolves were on top again in the second half.
Rachubka saved Kyle's header but Sylvan Ebanks-Blake went closest to beating him when his 12-yard shot hit the post.
Blackpool boss Simon Grayson:
"It was a hard-fought game with tackles flying in and I thought it was a fair result because we had a couple of chances and they did as well. "Wolves were looking to keep it tight after their previous games and we
probably didn't have that cutting edge in the final third.
"But we want to be hard to beat and make sure we keep clean sheets."
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy on a penalty he felt his side should have been awarded:
"Andy Keogh's shot is heading for the top corner but it has come off the defender's hand and flown over. "We had two stonewall penalties turned down on Saturday and another one tonight. For whatever reason we've not been awardedd them.
"But after recently conceding seven goals, it's nice to keep a clean sheet."
