West Brom 4-0 Ipswich
West Brom struck three times in the final three minutes to make it a resounding win against Ipswich.

Ishmael Miller put the Baggies ahead after 23 minutes, taking a pass from Andrade Filipe Teixeira to score.

Ipswich dominated much of the second half, but Alan Lee was the main culprit as they failed to take their chances.

Teixeira fired home late on, then turned provider for Kevin Phillips to score from close range - the veteran scored again in the dying seconds.

  • West Brom manager Tony Mowbray:
"It was a strange game. In the first half we dominated and it warranted us being more than 1-0 ahead.

"But in the second half, Ipswich had a real go. They gambled as teams have to when they are chasing the game.

"We managed to capitalise by scoring on the break. The scoreline was harsh on Ipswich, but I was delighted we dug in when our backs were to the wall."

  • Ipswich boss Jim Magilton:
"In the first half we showed Albion too much respect but in the second half we controlled the ball and controlled possession.

"You don't always get whan you deserve. It was a lesson in finishing for us, but we have to take it on the chin.

"We should not have been beaten by four but I can live with us playing in the manner we did in the second half."
