Plymouth were comfortable winners over Leicester after Peter Halmosi's second goal in as many games had put them on their way to victory. The Hungarian gave the hosts a 15th-minute lead with a well-taken strike from inside the penalty area after good work from Barry Hayles.
Sylvan Ebanks-Blake doubled the home side's advantage 17 seconds after the break after a defensive mix-up.
Hayles' far-post header completed the rout midway through the second half.
Plymouth boss Ian Holloway:
"It was a sunny day and we were 3-0 up. "I would rather have gone on and scored five or six to be perfectly honest
with you but I am not going to be moaning about that really.
"They (Leicester) changed their shape and threw caution to the wind. It is a
very dangerous situation when you've just scored three goals and played four
games in 10 days.
"It's a big ask really, but we kept a clean sheet so that was very pleasing."
Leicester manager Rob Kelly:
"That's the worst performance since I have been in charge by a long way. "As a group we all let down our supporters who travelled down here today.
"In the end I will take the flak. I pick them, I am the manager, I prepare them so I will shoulder the responsibility.
"We are in a relegation scrap. We were in it before the game. I have believed it all along."
