![]() | Sunday, 11 February, 2001, 14:22 GMT Blades strike causes strife with wife ![]() Birmingham MD Karren Brady had mixed feelings Sheffield United's on-loan striker Paul Peschisolido was in trouble with his wife when he got home after Saturday's match. Peschisolido is married to Birmingham City's managing director Karren Brady, and scored in the 3-1 win over his wife's club at Bramall Lane. "I will be in the dog-house for days," said the former City forward. "Karen will be happy for me, but also disappointed with the result." Peschisolido had a spell at St Andrews before making the switch to Fulham in 1997, becoming the west London club's first 1m signing. Shaun Murphy, Paul Devlin and Peschisolido made sure United's run of five games without a win came to an end. Geoff Horsfield got City's late consolation. Birmingham boss Trevor Francis felt his players had their minds on the Worthington Cup final later this month. "United knew that if one of our players was sent off they would miss the final and I think that played on the minds of one or two players." | See also: Internet links: The BBC is not responsible for the content of external internet sites Other top Eng Div 1 stories: Links to top Eng Div 1 stories are at the foot of the page. | ||
