Halesowen are suspended by the FA

Non-League

Halesowen Town have been suspended from playing any further fixtures by the Football Association.

The decision relates to charges previously brought against the club by a group of former players concerning disputed wage payments.

Halesowen chief executive Guy Simpson said: "The players were unwilling to work with the club and have decided to force the issue.

"We are working hard to resolve this situation quickly."

Halesowen are due to be playing Corby Town at The Grove on Saturday.

The Yeltz are currently one point and one place outside the play-off positions in the Southern League Premier Division.
