Mourinho thrilled with win
Porto coach Jose Mourinho will be working in the Premiership next season
Porto's Jose Mourinho believed his side deserved their 3-0 victory over Monaco as they lifted the European Cup in his final game in charge.

Monaco began brightly but never recovered after losing Ludovic Giuly in the first half through injury.

"Monaco were excellent early on but we got stronger and we deserved the victory," said Mourinho.

"But 3-0 was not a fair score for Monaco, it was not the difference between the two teams."

I'm disappointed for my players - they have done so well in a long, long season."
Monaco boss Didier Deschamps
Mourinho added: "Carlos Alberto's goal was the most important moment of the match, but the second goal finished the match.

"The first goal made Monaco have to change their style and even if the second goal killed them off it was only possible because Alberto had given us some breathing space.

"Both teams gave the world a superb spectacle.

"This is the best way to finish my career with Porto. It is fantastic - we deserved it and have made history."
