Celtic draw minnows
Henrik Larsson in action against Boavista
Celtic reached the Uefa Cup final last season
Celtic will face either HV Torshavn or Kaunus in the second qualifying round of the Champions League.

Faroe Islands outfit Torshavn face Lithuanian side Kaunus in the first round of the qualifying competition.

Old Firm rivals Rangers already have experience of Kaunas after playing them at the same stage of the competition three years ago.

And the Bhoys can also turn to former manager Tommy Burns for advice.

The Scotland assistant boss has seen several of the Torshavn and Kaunus players in action for the Faroe Islands and Lithuania in Scotland's Euro 2004 qualifying campaign.

Celtic, last season's beaten Uefa Cup finalists, were seeded for Friday's draw in Switzerland.

They will play the first leg away on 30 July, with the return at Celtic Park on 6 August.

In other games, Bohemians face Bate Borisov of Belarus, Glentoran play Finland's HJK Helsinki and Welsh champions Barry Town face Vardar of Macedonia.

Scottish champions Rangers will go into the third qualifying round, along with Newcastle and Chelsea, who finished third and fourth in England's Premiership last season.

Manchester United and Arsenal are among the top seeds and so automatically qualify for the group stages.

The first round games will be played on 16 and 23 July and the second round matches will be played on 30 July and 6 August.
