Etoile Sahel will attack Julius Berger from the start |
Etoile Sahel are hoping their home form in the African Cup Winners' Cup will enable them to overcome a two-goal deficit against Julius Berger in Saturday's second leg of the final. Etoile Sahel, seeking to win the Cup Winners' Cup for the second time since 1997, scored eight goals in three home games during this year's competition.
They have again brought in former Tunisian national coach Abdelmajid Chetali to prepare the team for the match in Sousse.
This has led to speculation in the Tunisian press that incumbent Ammar Souayeh has been sidelined. Chetali is hoping that the Nigerians will sit back and seek to preserve their 2-0 advantage.
"There are no miracles in football, so it is essential to get on the score sheet early and put the opponents under pressure," said Chetali.
He added: "We're going to press them right from the start, and at the same time make sure we make no mistakes."
Julius Berger have never won a continental club competition, and victory would present Nigeria with the opportunity of a double in the Africa's two major club tournaments for the first time.
Enyimba have a 2-0 lead over Ismaili of Egypt after the first leg of the African Champions League finals.
The return match is in Egypt on December 12.
Saturday's match marks the end of the Cup Winners' Cup, which next year will merge with the CAF Cup to form the new Confederation Cup.
