The position has instead gone to former Yugoslavia international Zoran Pesic. Hellenic's general manager Guy Hedderwick said that Grobbelaar had priced himself out of the club's range. "Unfortunately a compromise could not be reached with Bruce," he said. "But the club has to move on." And Hedderwick confirmed that Pesic would take charge next season. "From a CV perspective, Zoran looks impressive," he said. "Besides playing and being an assistant coach at Red Star Belgrade, he also played more than 30 internationals for his country." Pesic was previously coach of the Zimbabwean clubs AmaZulu and Dynamos, as well as brief spells in charge of Ria Stars and Manning Rangers. Hellenic only escaped relegation from the South African Premier League by one place earlier this season. | See also: Other top Africa stories: Links to more Africa stories are at the foot of the page. | ||
