Bhutia back on familiar ground
Baichung Bhutia
Baichung Bhutia is India's secret weapon
Bury's Indian international striker Baichung Bhutia will play in the opening game of his country's English tour after all.

"He will definitely play on Tuesday," All India Football Federation secretary Alberto Colaco said.

India start off against Second Division Brentford and will also play First Division clubs Nottingham Forest on 28 July and Walsall on 3 August, plus third division Leyton Orient on 31 July.

Bhutia was named captain for the tour but his participation was in doubt because the visit clashed with Bury's pre-season preparations.

The 23-year-old forward became the first Indian to play for an English club by joining Bury last year is vying for a regular place in the first team.

He scored twice in Bury's 3-1 win over non-league Radcliffe Borough in a warm-up game last week.

The Indians, who are lying 113th in the FIFA world rankings, are in England for the second straight year to gain the experience of facing tough opposition ahead of the first Afro-Asian games in New Delhi in November.
