Crystal Palace have released defender Claude Davis, and relieved coach Dean Austin of his duties after the season's final fixture on Saturday.

Davis, 32, joined Palace from Derby in September 2009 after an extended loan spell at the club.

The Jamaica international made 59 appearances for the Championship club and was out of contract in the summer.

Former Tottenham and Palace defender Austin was appointed to boss Dougie Freedman's coaching team last summer.

Loanees Pablo Counago and Gavin Mahon have also left the London club and returned to their parent clubs, Ipswich and QPR respectively, after their loan periods expired.
