Yeovil beat Colchester to record their most convincing home win of the season.
Craig Alcock fired the hosts ahead with a neat left-footed drive before Andrew Tutte curled home for 2-0.
Ashley Vincent pulled one back for the visitors from close in only for Dean Bowditch to re-establish the Glovers' two-goal lead a minute later.
The U's pushed on after the break and David Mooney's strike made it 3-2 but once more Yeovil hit straight back, Andy Welsh volleying home.
POST-MATCH REACTION
Colchester United manager John Ward told BBC Essex:
"I'm just disappointed all through the game with our defending, we have been pretty woeful.
"When you look back at our defending on our travels this season we have been a top 6 side and our goal scoring has been in the bottom six.
"Regardless of luck, we have given away two poor free-kicks that have allowed them into our box."
