Stewart signed a deal until the end of the season on Tuesday
Charlton Athletic boss Chris Powell has said new midfielder Michael Stewart could earn a deal beyond the end of the season if he impresses at The Valley.
Stewart, 30, joined Charlton on Tuesday night after being a free agent since January when his contract with Turkish side Genclerbirligi was cancelled.
After starting at Manchester United, he had spells at Hibernian and Hearts.
The Scotland international could make his Addicks debut in Saturday's visit to Bournemouth.
