London's Kruse is in good form |
British fencer Richard Kruse took silver at a World Cup fencing competition in Seoul after losing 15-10 to Korean Young Ho Kwon. "I am a bit disappointed not to have converted in the final," said the world number 14 from London. "However, I think I am starting to hit some decent form now - which bodes well for the World Cup event in Tokyo." Britons Laurence Halsted and Ed Jeffries also performed well, just missing out on semi-final places. Lead national foil coach Ziemek Wojciechowski said: "It was a good result for the British foil World Class Pathway squad and for the first time we had three fencers in the top eight at a World Cup event. | 606: DEBATE |
"This shows the steady progress we are making all the time and that we are on course with our Olympic dream of winning medals at our home Games."
