England captain Edwards plays her county cricket for Kent
England women's captain Charlotte Edwards says her side are ready for the upcoming series against New Zealand which begins at Chelmsford on Tuesday.
The World Cup champions face the Kiwis in three Twenty20 internationals and five one-day internationals.
England crashed out of last month's ICC World Twenty20 at the group stages.
And Edwards told the BBC: "We're really motivated to get back to winning ways against New Zealand, who are one of the best sides in the world."
England, who won both the World Cup in Australia and the World Twenty20 on home soil last year, had a tournament to forget in the Caribbean as they were eliminated after losing their first two games.
New Zealand were losing finalists in the Windies, having also lost to England at Lord's in the 2009 final.
Kent all-rounder Edwards added: "We were hugely disappointed as a group, we've come back and dusted ourselves down and we're ready for Tuesday and the challenge ahead."
The three Twenty20 internationals are being played at Chelmsford, Southampton and Hove as part of double-headers.
All three take place before men's county Twenty20 matches - Essex v Sussex on Tuesday, Hampshire v Glamorgan on Thursday, and Sussex v Middlesex on Friday.
And Edwards, who was honoured with an MBE last June following the World Cup win, remains a fan of the shortest form of the game.
"I think it's got to continue to happen," she added.
"I think its a way of us getting more of an audience in, and I'm looking forward to it."
"Chelmsford was where I first got spotted playing in a Kwik Cricket event when I hit a couple of balls into the river, so I'm looking forward to going back there."
