England's women won the first of their two warm-up games ahead of the Women's World Twenty20, beating India by 25 runs in a 14-a-side game in St Kitts. Captain Charlotte Edwards top-scored with 41 in England's total of 133-7 from 20 overs after she won the toss. India's Mithali Raj hit 44 while seamer Anya Shrubsole (2-16 from four overs) was the pick of the England bowlers. "It's been a great day for us, we have started the the tour as well as I would have liked," said Edwards. "It was a really solid performance, a good day at the office." In other games there were wins for New Zealand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The tournament begins on Wednesday but before that, England face Sri Lanka in their second warm-up game on Monday.
