Edwards believes England can make their second final in three months |
Kent women captain Charlotte Edwards is confident of leading England to their second final within a year. Having won the ICC Women's World Cup in March, they will qualify for the Women's World Twenty20 final if they beat Australia on Friday. Edwards said: "We dealt with the pressure before in the World Cup so we can deal with the big occasion. "Player for player we match each other up, it's about who holds their nerve and who plays best on the day." England have lost just one of their last 28 international matches, against Friday's opponents in the World Cup. | We're one innings away from a big score and we're saving that for the semi-final |
But Edwards has been studying Australia's form during the tournament, and has spotted the apparent weakness in their form. She said: "They're scoring a lot of runs but seem to be going for a few runs in the first six overs. "We're evenly matched. I think we are bowling and fielding well as a unit. "Batting, we haven't hit our straps yet but we're one innings away from a big score and we're saving that for the semi-final." England will face New Zealand, their World Cup final opponents, if they beat Australia on Friday.
