England women's fast bowler Jenny Gunn has been suspended from Australian State cricket because of an illegal action, but will play in the World Cup. The England and Wales Cricket Board confirmed that Gunn failed Cricket Australia tests under their doubtful bowling action procedures. Umpires reported Gunn, who plays for Western Australia, in November and she underwent tests in Canberra in January. England start their World Cup campaign against Sri Lanka on 7 March. A Cricket Australia spokesman said: "Any player found to have displayed an illegal action is suspended from interstate competitions until she is able to complete a biomechanical analysis that demonstrates her action is legal, but no earlier than 90 days after the date a suspension commences." Gunn's suspension came into force on 25 February but does not affect her World Cup status. She has played six Tests, 62 one-day internationals and 10 Twenty20 matches.
