Graham Gooch is regarded as one of England's best ever batsmen. But is was not always that way.
He made his Test debut in 1975 and promptly got a pair, which saw him out of favour with the selectors for three years.
But he battled back into contention and had a new lease of life after being banned for taking part in the rebel tour to South Africa.
Gooch became England captain in 1990 and scored an amazing 333 against India at Lord's.
He was a stalwart for Essex and after retiring from playing has become a coach at Chelmsford.
